Gender pay gap
Gender pay gap refers to the average difference between men’s and women’s earnings, often for doing the same job (but not necessarily). This includes salaries, bonuses and other financial benefits.
Although many countries are aware of this issue and are working on it, the gender pay gap still regularly occurs. For instance, the gender pay gap in the UK equals 19.2% which means that on average a woman earns 80p for every £1 earned by a man. The gender pay gap for bonuses is even wider, at 57%.
