- Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes using hand and power tools
- Install and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and equipment
- Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and other defects, and make necessary repairs
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as welders and plumbers, to complete projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Pipefitter requirements and qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
